Marcus is currently directing Shakespeare’s Venus and Adonis - a concert poem produced by Taffety Punk Theatre Company. It stars Lise Bruneau and Tonya Beckman with dancer Sarina Martinez de Osaba, and features choreography by Erin Mitchell Nelsona and music by Kathy Cashel.
This summer he will direct Dial M for Murder at the Adirondack Theatre Festival in Glens Falls, NY. He is excited to return to Glens Falls and be a part of this amazing festival once again.
Marcus was last seen in The Seafarer by Conor McPherson at Round House Theatre. Directed by Ryan Rilette, the show received terrific reviews.
Earlier in 2023 Marcus was in Hamlet at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, directed by renowned director Eleanor Holdridge. The show won high praise all around, with a reviewer from Broadway World declaring: "I loved Marcus Kyd's Claudius. Slickness is all. He manipulates, dissimulates, and improvises, never a hair out of place."
